| 「AOR」とは、「Album Oriented Rock」とか「Adult
Oriented Rock」の略称で、70年代後半〜80年代にかけて日本で特に流行った、様々なジャンルが入り混じった主にアメリカ西海岸発の「大人向けのロック」のこと。 おしゃれだったり、演奏がカッコ良かったり、メロウだったり、AORと位置づけられる曲にもいろいろあります。 心地よくさらっと聞きやすい曲が多いですが、ロックにＲ＆Ｂやジャズ・ボッサなど様々なリズムや複雑なアレンジを持ち込み、プロデューサーやミュージシャンの職人のワザを詰め込んだ、アルバム全体を通して高いクオリティを持つ･･････そんな当時の作品たちが、まとめて「AOR」と呼ばれているんですね。 そんなAORの名盤たちを、独断と偏見で勝手に選んでまったり紹介していきます。 |
